Friday Frivolities – Aging Gracefully

As you already know, I’m not the biggest fan of aging gracefully. It seems a little overrated to me, and I figure I may as well continue as I mean to go on. However, there is some sage advice to be found in this video.

I particularly love: “Cultivate younger friends, otherwise yours will all die off.”

What are your thoughts? What piece of advice would you impart to your younger self? Mine would be – and probably still is – you don’t have to know what you’re doing in life. No one else does either.

Happy Friday!

  1. I love this!! My advice: live your dreams and find a way to do it now.
It took me 45 years to finish my lifelong dream to sail from Maine to the Bay of Virgins in French Polynesia. Next to having my son it was the hardest and best thing I’ve ever done.

    1. That’s fantastic advice! And what a wonderful example of following your dreams – it must have been an amazing trip. 🙂

  2. That was beautiful. Must have a speck in my eye. My 91 yr old grandma used to tell me getting old sucked, but there were no other options. I think she would have agreed about younger friends. My advice to my 16 yr old self : “Start learning how to break the rules. You’ll need the practice later on.”

    1. That is wonderful advice! And yes – as tough as getting old may be, the other option isn’t exactly appealing. Thanks so much for commenting!
