Arm yourself, lovely readers! I need holiday book recommendations!
Well, maybe not “need”. In fact, almost definitely not. But I really want them, so I’m going to call it a need.
As some of you may be aware, I’m off down to Tonga again, and as this video goes up I’ll probably be doing a final clean of the apartment before I head to the airport. I don’t know why I do this, but apparently I need to have fresh sheets on the bed and a dust-free desk in order to feel comfortable leaving.
Because Layla-cat won’t have the cat hair level back to normal by Monday, obviously.
But, last-minute cleaning aside, I’ve also been remarkably restrained in my book buying for this trip. As I mentioned in a video after my last trip, I usually get very over-excited and one-click anything that comes in on Bookbub, but I’ve been resolutely deleting the emails without reading them. This is not due to any grand gesture such as a 2019 book buying ban or anything like that. This is because I still haven’t read all the books I bought for the last trip.
And instead of continuing to follow this very sensible pattern of behaviour, I am quite naturally asking you to tell me what else I should read, even though my ebook TBR is so enormous I probably shouldn’t be buying another book until at least 2032.
I need choices, okay?
So, lovely people, I need your holiday book recommendations! I know recommendations are terrifying things, but let me know what of the books I mention in the video I should start with, and what others you think I should get my greasy digital mitts on.
Because, honestly, the only good thing about flying is the reading time…
And now give me your comments and recommendations below! Plus let me know what you enjoy reading on holiday, and if you’ve got any trips planned this year. Because I’m nosey.
