Regular readers (or watchers – no, viewers. Watchers is creepy) may recall that last year I wrote about the fact that I bought a desk. A real desk that didn’t fall to bits under the assault of my typing; was big enough to hold a laptop, tea, cookies, and a notebook; and, most importantly, on which the Little Furry Muse had plenty of room to sleep (it bears mentioning here that, although the unused corner of the desk is directly above the heater and looks like a perfect spot to me, apparently the best spot to sit is still between me and the keyboard). I also shared a couple of photos of the desk looking very tidy and empty, as well as covered in notes, which occurred astonishingly rapidly.
And which have bred and now flourish across the shelf like a particularly bright and virulent strain of moss.
I may have a problem when it comes to Post-Its.
Anyhow, all that aside, in today’s video I give you the grand tour of my current writing space.
Well, my desk writing space. I still have issues with chairs and days when I prefer to stand, or when the only place I can write is on the floor in what basically amounts to a blanket fort. Look, it works. Writing is as much art as it is work, and art is… weird, sometimes.
I also show off some of the books I can’t do without, including a couple of fantastic folklore reference books (I did a full video on them a while ago that you may want to check out).
So. Ahem. Step into my office…?
And now over to you, lovely people! Where do you read or write? Do you have designated places that make you feel comfortable? Let me know about yours below!
